As a host family, you will:

• Welcome the student into your home

• Help them adjust to life in Canada

• Speak English with them to support language development

• Explain household routines and expectations

• Encourage independence while offering guidance

• Notify the homestay coordinator if concerns arise

• Provide a supportive and respectful environment

You are not expected to act as a teacher or parent—but rather as a caring mentor and supportive household.
